I spent my formative career with 3M, a division of Unilever and a major commercial lighting manufacturer. Then, in 1988, following senior positions with two major presentation and audio-visual companies, I established Calibre, a marketing services consultancy. Whilst Calibre was successful, the growth was limited by my availability of time and resources and by the perception of Calibre being a small agency, a one-man-band. I formed my partnership with SHERE over ten years ago.
In addition, I have worked with various government enterprise agencies and as an advisor on the Growth Accelerator initiative. I also sit on the board of my local Young Enterprise scheme.
The Shere Partnership has been very successful and has significantly increased my income.
After learning about SHERE and the partnering opportunity I could see that through partnering with a group, higher fees could be earned, both from increased day rates and through having additional resources and facilities available to offer clients.
